A 501(C)3 ORGANIZATION
FOUNDED TO LOVE AND CARE FOR GOD'S ANIMALS THAT ARE IN NEED OF HELP.

                                           COASTAL ANIMAL RESCUE

Construction of the first building was completed in November 2007 and housed about 60 cats and 4 dogs. Since its founding 5 years ago, the organization has saved over 1,200 cats and 73 dogs (not counting the animals the organization has helped to be spayed and neutered).  Currently the shelter has about 481 cats and some dogs, as some are fostered in homes by responsible pet parents.

At the all-volunteer shelter no one has ever received a salary not even the director. Therefore, 100% of all monies raised through fundraisers and by needed donations are spent only to house, feed, spay/neuter and provide medical care to the animals.

Tax deductible donations can be sent to: Coastal Animal Rescue, 1288 Limestone Dr, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576, or through the website: coastalanimalrescue.org. For additional information, please call (843) 685-2851.

                                COASTAL ANIMAL VETERINARY CLINIC

On September 27, 2010 the doors of Coastal Animal Veterinary Clinic opened in Murrells Inlet.  The Clinic's mission is: to combat the massive problem of pet over-population by offering the lowest pricing on spays and neuters to everyone regardless of household income; to offer full service veterinary care at affordable prices to every pet parent, and to medically care for the abandoned pets and abused animals in the custody of Coastal Animal Rescue.

The first paid employee of Coastal Animal Veterinary Clinic, Meisen Mok DVM, was selected from over a dozen candidates because of his 13 years experience and his shared commitment to providing the public with affordable veterinary care.  He and his family relocated from Loveland, Colorado.  His educational column, "Pet Doc", appears weekly in the Georgetown Times and the Waccamaw Times.  Clinic appointments can be made by calling (843) 652-4500.

The goal is to open clinics in Conway and Georgetown in the next 12 months.

All profits go toward the animal welfare programs of Coastal Animal Rescue.
